One of our core business aims is to reduce our carbon footprint and take action against climate change. Accordingly, we continue to invest in projects that safeguard and progress horticulture, as well as benefit the environment.

A new investment has been made in a photovoltaic (PV) system on the roof of the office to generate electricity for the business from the sun’s energy. Teaming up with specialists M3 Solar to erect a 30,000 KW per year Solar Photovoltaic System – these solar panels will contribute roughly 25% of the business's annual electricity demand.

Company Director, Robert Searle explains: “Although solar panels are falling in price, this is still a significant investment with a payback of around 8 years. However, we expect a minimum useful economic life of over 20 years.”

The new PV system is a good example of our continued efforts and commitment to ensure that we positively reduce our carbon footprint and our overall impact on the environment.
