In our large temperature controlled packhouse, produce is
inspected and packed, with accurate and efficient electronic
graders, sorting the fruit by colour, size and weight for our
customers.
Several wrapping and bagging lines are in operation, each with
the ability to pack using printed film. Automated labelling systems
generate and apply customer specified information and branding.
Customer designated refrigerated lorries are used, so that the
produce never leaves the cool chain.
Quality Control is of paramount importance. It is stringently
applied according to customer specifications during every stage of
production at Tangmere. All staff are fully trained in hygiene and
all aspects of food safety. Full traceability of the crop is
maintained from plant to table.
